Inca brings you a new 'Machine Setup' feature for your Onset S20 and S40

Inca has developed a new 'Machine Setup' feature on its Onset S20 and S40 printers to assist machine operators and enable them to change between substrates as easily and quickly as possible.

The Onset S20 and S40 are complex printers with a large number of user changeable variables, which allow a variety of different print finishes on a large number of substrates. The 'Machine Setup' feature offers a hassle-free and simple way of dealing with these variables.

To get the best out of the printer, a user will often test a substrate by changing the variables until the desired print quality and finish is achieved. With over 80 variables, the 'Machine Setup' function ensures that all of the variables' values are correctly captured and are able to be reloaded again and again for immediate use.

In the coming weeks, all registered Inca Onset S20 and S40 users will be given access to a new, up-to-date user manual which will include detailed instructions on how to use the 'Machine Setup' feature. These instructions will be easy to follow and will bring huge benefit to all operators.

Inca Digital launches the Onset S40 wide-format UV printer

Today (4th April, 2011), Inca Digital Printers announces the launch of the Inca Onset S40, the latest addition to its market-leading Inca Onset range of wide-format UV flatbed inkjet printers. Positioned between the flagship, super high productivity Inca Onset at 750sqm/hr (8,073 sqft/hr)1 and the Inca Onset S20 at 310 sqm/hr (3,340 sqft/hr)1, the new Inca Onset S40 prints at up to 470 sqm/hr (5,059 sq ft/hr)1.

Alongside the other products in the range, the Inca Onset S40 has been engineered to provide outstanding levels of performance, ‘best-in-class’ quality and flexibility at low cost per print. It meets the high-volume, fast-turnaround production needs of specialist display print companies, using up to 168 new-generation, user-replaceable, printheads (28 per colour) on a full width print bar delivering a 27 picolitre drop size. Inspirational products from the winners of IDEAs 2010

We were delighted by the high standard of entries submitted for IDEAs 2010. The judges - Nigel Steffens, CEO of FESPA, Peter Kiddell of PRISM and John Charnock of PR-INT - had the tough task of selecting winners from a very strong global line up and were looking for high-quality graphics that exceeded expectations in terms of creativity and ingenuity.

Each of the 5 available categories were well represented and these included POS/POP Graphics, Display Graphics, Décor, Product Decoration & Speciality Products, and Off the Wall. Each category winner received an IDEA trophy and a VIP trip to Munich to attend FESPA and celebrate their achievement.

The 2010 entrants produced innovative products incorporating a wide array of different materials to meet their customer's specific requirements. The flexibility of Inca UV digital printing enabled companies to produce stunning lenticular walls, children's shoes and toys, cross bows, wood effect furniture, interior décor, urban art, displays, 3D POS and more. Materials used ranged from re-board, acrylic, plastic, aluminium and leather to MDF, Douglas Fir and Plywood.

The sheer range of applications submitted not only demonstrated the inspirational ability of our customers, but also showed the versatility of Inca printers ranging from the very first Inca Eagle, installed in Europe nine years ago, right up to the latest Onset printers.

The winners of an IDEA 2010 were as follows:

POS/POP Graphics - Dael Printing, Belgium (pictured above left)

Display Graphics - Mills Styrox, Australia

Product Decoration & Speciality Products - Visual Marking Systems, USA (pictured above right)

Off the Wall - America Digitaal Druk, The Netherlands
